The Baking Expert has been around for ten years. Back then, he was simply Christian Ofner. But his visions and ideas were anything but simple. To be no longer ”just” a baker. He wanted to show the world how easy, fast and delicious (bread) baking can be. The “Baking Expert” was thus born, and quickly came of age with the help of his fine bakery.

He wanted to show the world how easy, fast and delicious (bread) baking can be. The “Baking Expert” was thus born, and with the help of his fine bakery, quickly came of age.
No wonder, given the groundwork – from a successful apprenticeship to working at well-known bakeries in a variety of fields, Christian Ofner’s years of experience paved his way to become the Baking Expert. So, more or less done and dusted.
But one can never rest on one’s laurels, the baking oven must be permanently fired-up with new creations and recipes.
Good that the Baking Expert is positively gripped by his passion, always and everywhere …thinking, trying out, tasting, creating, kneading, refining, rolling …
The Baking Expert only feels comfortable when he has his finger on the pulse of the grain.
With more than 100,000 books sold and over 3 million video clicks, the Baking Expert inspires hobby bakers all over the world with his recipes.
The first Styrian baking school was established in Gleisdorf in May 2019. A place of homage for fans of homemade bread & pastries.
With a newly appointed school director and a packed course program for young & old.

Strong partners should work together. Only together are we really strong. This is especially true for companies from the same regional environment with broad outreach and similar philosophies. The owners of Frutura and “Der Backprofi”, have similar corporate histories, in which a lot of ambition and hard work created successful companies known far beyond the borders of Styria and Austria. “A way to a person’s heart is through the stomach” is not their only shared tenet – quality, the best taste, sustainability and innovation are also the guiding principles of their daily work.
All kinds of baking recipes containing tasty Frutura products, cooking shows in a new atmosphere and much more are being created together with Christian Ofner. So, stay tuned – there’s a lot more to come.
